Volunteers & Students: When to apply

Volunteers and students should go through the Checklist and make sure they are going to be in child-related work and are not exempt before applying.

Volunteers should apply when they are offered a position in child-related work, with the volunteer organisation signing their WWC application form as their employer.

Students on practicum or work placement should apply once their placement in child-related work is arranged, with the education provider or placement provider signing their WWC application form as their employer.
